Pseudoscience A group of beliefs that people think are scientific but are NOT based on the scientific method.
PSEUDO = FAKE
PSEUDOSCIENCE = FAKE SCIENCE


Extraordinary Claim A claim that is shown not to be true by lots of evidence.

Extraordinary Evidence The more unlikely a claim is, the more proof you need to back it up.

Repeatable Results In good science, if you repeat an experiment many times, they should give you pretty much the same results. If your results are always different, there is a problem with the experiment or with the claim. It could be pseudoscience.

Sometimes, pseudoscience is used to sell you things that are not as good as they seem. Check out the PowerPoint below for some examples.
