Solar System A star with a group of planets, moons, comets and asteroids that orbit it

Milky Way The galaxy that contains our own star, the sun. It is named for its appearance as a white band across the night sky.

Galaxy A system of billions of stars held together by gravity. There are trillions of galaxies in the universe.

Observable Universe How much of the universe (everything we know to exist) that we can observe, or see.
