Can you find the pattern in the math problems below?
Here is an easy trick:
- To multiply a number by 10, simply add a zero.
- To multiply a number by 100, add two zeros.
Look at our earlier example again:
What if you aren’t multiplying by 10 or 100? The trick works with any multiple of ten.
You’ll have to multiply smaller numbers before you add your zeros.
