I will prepare a layered cookie mix in a mason jar.

3. Prepare cookie mix in a mason jar.

Ingredients:
- Pint-size glass jars.
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (I used light brown sugar, but dark would work also)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- ribbon, string or twine
- decorative paper for lid (optional)
Instructions to assemble:
- Combine 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a mixing bowl and set aside.
- Pour flour/baking soda/salt mixture into your clean, pint size glass jar. Gently pat the bottom of the jar with your hand to make sure the flour mixture is level.
- Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the jar on top of the flour mixture.
- Add 1/4 cup packed brown sugar as the next layer.
- Measure out 1/3 cup granulated sugar and add to the top.
Instructions to decorate your jar:
- Place a cloth square between the two pieces of the lid.
- Wrap a ribbon around the lid.
- Attach the direction tags sheet with string.
