1. Complete warmup.

2. Make cookies, but be sure to DOUBLE the recipe!

Snowball Treats

AKA Mexican Wedding Cookies

AKA Russian Tea Cakes

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream butter and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar and flour.
  4. Stir into the butter mixture until just blended.
  5. Mix in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  8. When cool, roll in remaining confectioners’ sugar. I also like to roll mine in the sugar a second time.
