3. Watch shadow time-lapse.
- Predict where you think the sun is in the sky as the shadows move across the sidewalk.
- At certain points, the shadows become lighter and even disappear. What do you think is causing this? Why do they come back?
- Notice how the shadows not only change position, but change length too. Why do you think that is?
- Use a handheld or cellphone flashlight to model how the sun was positioned to make these shadows.
- Observe the shadow of yourself or something else that is tall.
