I will simulate the effects of lung damage from vaping and smoking.

1. Watch videos.

2. Review vocabulary.

Vape  (or e-cigarette) is a battery-powered device that heats up a chemical liquid, turning it into a mist or “cloud” that the user breathes into their lungs.

Transplant a special surgery where doctors take a healthy working part (called an organ) from one person and put it into another person whose own organ is sick

Nicotine Nicotine is a chemical found in tobacco plants, cigarettes, and vaping liquids that makes them very addictive.

Addiction A very strong urge to do, take, or use something, even when it causes harm or you want to stop.

3. Conduct an experiment.

Option 1: Model lung damage with straws and a brief workout.

Option 2: Model lung damage using straws and balloons.
