2. Review vocabulary.
Senses Something that animals use to find out information about the world around them so they can survive. Our five senses are sight, smell, taste, touch and feel.
Sour When something tastes acidic like a lemon. Lemonade is sour.
Spicy When something feels like it is burning your mouth. Pepper is spicy.
Sweet When something tastes pleasant like sugar. Candy is sweet. (And you’re sweet when you’re kind to the people around you.)

For a simpler recipe, just mix flavors of extract with tempera paint.
For an edible paint recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (any variety)
- 1-2 drops food coloring
- 3-5 drops vanilla, lemon, or almond extract OR a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa
